What Do You Want To Learn?

Ever wanted to learn something? Hope Groups has made it happen for hundreds of people! From building a computer, learning Spanish, operating a DSLR camera, playing an instrument, acing a job interview, living a healthy life, growing in your spiritual life, learning to double dutch, photoshop, and so much more than you can imagine! I posted my article Growth Groups three years ago explaining the different classes offered by facilitators from HopeNYC! After three years, things has immensely improved! The name is changed to Hope Groups! Registration is also super simple and swift because it’s online! There are also new facilitators and classes every semester!

I have taken a healthier approach this semester and decided to join two health and wellness hope groups! From the short time I’ve been there, its been totally eye-opening, exciting, interesting and informative! One is taught by an actual physician and the other is taught by a phenomenal woman who has conquered the most challenging weight-loss obstacles many women face today! All the facilitators are highly skilled and passionate about what they teach! At the end of every semester, The Hope Groups ministry has always asked this question: What classes do you want to see next semester? My readers, What do you want to learn?

It’s a Date!

On February 22nd, set aside some special time to spend a romantic evening with a man.  I understand Thursday night might seem like a bit of an inconvenience but please understand! This man would die just to be with you. He has your best interest at heart and wants to see you happy. He is showing up so you can have life and have it more abundantly. You can’t hide your feelings from Him because He is all-knowing and He understands that you too also want to spend some time with Him. In fact you feel desperate in your soul for Him with a true honest desire for just a moment with Him. You truly know that He loves you for you are. Even your worst didn’t change His mind. You know the romance on this date far outweighs the love of a family member, spouse, and partner in courtship. This my friends, can only seem to be a date with Jesus.

We all need to steal away and spend some time with Him in prayer. 20 somethings! You get to spend ONE SPECIAL EVENING to focus on His love. The night is called: It’s a date! Come to this love themed night and enjoy some great food, desserts and mocktails! You get to mingle and form friendships with other 20 somethings in the room PLUS hang out at one of the coolest cafe’s in NY after closing! Don’t forget to WEAR SOMETHING RED! The color of love. We’ll all be wearing it! We’ve got an incredible Thursday night planned for exclusively for the 20 somethings! If that’s you gotta be there at CompassCoffee! These 2 people made NYC better! Get to know them!

A quick video to show appreciation to my Pastors; the Senior Pastors of HopeNYC Church! Of course we know that pastors take care of others, lead, preach sermons, pray and do many other fantastic things for the kingdom. The collection of photos in this video highlights more of the spontaneous things they do in addition to the serious. Did you know that HopeNYC had a 60 ft long banana split sundae that ended up in a delicious ice cream fight? Did you know that HopeNYC does a Fall festival and Christmas Parade every year? HopeNYC also sends toys to several caribbean countries each year and helps distributes food to feed New Yorkers every week!

These pastors are amazing gifts from God. They have affected the lives of many people in the HopeNYC congregation and they have made New York a better place! You have to come see them yourselves one day!

Find a Good Father

“There are good fathers at Hope! ”

I remember sitting down hearing that yesterday at HopeNYC’s Father’s Day service and I agree! But I must mention that they learned from the best 👆🏽 In fact all of us do! At HopeNYC, your problem is our problem and your victories and achievements is our celebration! Over the years of attending, I see that the men of God here look out for their church family. Always aiming to encourage, give, teach and intercede in prayer for other sons and daughters. Yesterday, many celebrated their fathers, relatives and father figures and highly exalted their Heavenly Father. The one responsible for all good fathers. There were gifts, testimonies, dances, and more! It was such a good time! Many Hope Kidz spoke out in a video how they felt about their dads. WARNING ⚠️ some are cute and some are funny!

Mom’s Crowning Moment

I love watching this video! Kids from HopeNYC describe their moms and wish them an early Happy Mother’s Day! Most of these parents attended yesterday’s dance where this video was first viewed. Hopers! Find your child or yourself or just hear all of them!

The dance was such a beautiful experience! Proceeds went towards HopeNYC’s International Missions Ministry who partnered with the ZionProject to help rescue sex trafficking victims. Some girls get trapped into it while some are sold by their own parents in an effort to provide for the other siblings in the family. Mothers were honored and treated like royalty last night at HopeNYC while giving towards the cause. Wildfire; the teen ministry of the church made the night into an elegant experience executing beautiful hospitality. Gentlemen escorted the mothers upstairs to their table. The girls attended to the needs of the guest and served the three course meal with the gentlemen joining in. There were gifts for every lady in the room; mom or not. There were special awards for our beautiful pastor, the lady crowned for mother of the year and gentleman of the night. There was also a crowning for best dressed. Entertainment was smooth! Reggae was performed live by Art Crawford and Eddie Neblett with DJ Mark Xclusive. The night could not have ended until the well-known reggae song: She’s Royal was played. It was all a wonderful night filled with entertainment, raffles, decorations, great food, exquisite gowns, dancing, relaxation, appreciation,  love, photos…. check out the pictures! Also stay tuned on the HopeNYC website and Facebook for their upcoming Mother’s day service!
