Now here are some summer tips!

Sunscreen: Applying your sunscreen indoors is important! This stuff is SLOWLY absorbed by your skin. Allow up 15 minutes before stepping outside to ensure protection! It’s definitely important to have on when the sun is at its peak between the hours of 11am-2pm

Freebies & discounts:

  1. Brooklyn Botanical Garden is free on Friday mornings!
  2. Long Beach is free after 6pm to relax, walk around, wet your toes, photograph, and play beach games! Read about the last time I went!
  3. The met museum in Manhattan takes a donation of your choice 25 cents and up from students!
  4. The Aquarium has discounted tickets right now because it’s other exhibits are under construction! The ticket includes a cool 4D movie!
  5. Bryant Park has fun free juggling lessons all week long! Follow @Bpjugglers

Photographers: Look into a polarizing filter! It will make your landscape photograph clearer and help everything in your image to be the proper color. Rivers, oceans and sky can loose it’s beautiful blue tone from yellow sun rays but a filter will bring out those blues much more!

These are the tips! I hope you enjoy and hope to see you the Freedom concert

Pass The Salt (Tips)

Salt can take your meal from bland to the best! It can cleanse a stain and ease your pain! Salt can keep the very foods in your home from spoiling. Salt is a good thing according to The Word of God and being called salty is in fact a good insult compliment to Christians. How so? Because just like salt, you were created to add flavor and be of extreme help to the world.

On my social media accounts, I had posted this graphic!

7 uses for salt!

  1. Sponge getting old? Restore it by giving it an overnight soak in a liter of water with a 1/4 cup of salt!
  2. Got bitten by a bee? Put some water on the sting and then apply salt! This should alleviate the pain and reduce the swollen area. If you are allergic to bees 🐝 Get some medical attention STAT!
  3. Smelly sneakers? Sprinkle some salt in there!
  4. Did your coffee or tea leave a stain on your pots and cups? How about the burnt milk? Scrub it away by sprinkling salt on your sponge and rub the area in small circles. If it’s still there add some white wine vinegar.
  5. Want to keep your cheese and apples around longer? Prevent mold and wrinkles with salt! For the cheese, wrap it in a napkin that has been soaked in salt water before putting in the fridge. For the Apple, soak them in mild salt water. This will make the skin smooth again.
  6. You can’t show off your remarkable fruit salad with brown fruit! After preparing your fruit by cutting them, give them a quick dip in salt water! This should ensure that they stay colorful.
  7. You can use salt as a pre-dandruff treatment by sprinkling it on your scalp! Throughly rub it and rinse off before applying the shampoo.

TIPS

1) Keep an eye out:  Recognizing the right photo moment is important if you want a collection of cleverly good photos! It’s not a posed or prepared moment but it often happens WHEN you least expect it WHERE you least expect it! When you see something, rush for your phone at all times! Don’t give up because you think you might miss it. You might not! What are you trying to capture? A sunset, person? animal? person? car driving away with balloons?  The camera is not what makes a good photograph, it’s really the photographer’s eye! This is why photographers can take masterpieces with just their smartphones! The filters and features are just a plus to enhance whats already there!

This is not a typical scene! I had to get it! I didn’t tell the driver to wait on me! She was in the middle of moving so they can exit the yard. I pulled out my phone and captured photos as rapidly as possible. I got it!
The concert had these special lights and used it only at specific moments. This gold ray of light would brighten each head in the crowd. Because this was a worship night concert with songs centered on Jesus, I tried hard to capture this moment more than all the others. There is no need to tell a story about this picture. It speaks for itself and shows WHO this gathering is all about. What an amazing night!
Simply captured this beautiful bold red pepper in the process of making a chopped salad!

2) Rule of thirds:  See the four points? It is a theory that your viewers’ eyes naturally gravitate to these four points which makes it the ideal places for your photo subjects! You may wonder how to do this! Cameras and phone have this setting to guide you.

For iPhones! Go to Settings- Phone and Camera- Scroll down to grids then turn it on!

The cake is right where I want it on the left third. I took this photo around Valentines day last year as Compass Cafe introduced a new cake!

3) Get on it’s level: An interesting way to get to capture an item and emphasize the details. It’s also a great approach when photographing children; especially toddlers! These were both taken with an iPhone!

I rested my phone on the table and flipped it upside down to capture this. When holding the phone normally, the camera was way higher than the bracelet. A previous birthday celebration helped to make the scene more colorful!
