Looking to have a more grand Thanksgiving this year? Here are some keys to maximize your holiday experience! First off you would need to eat more, extend your family and of course, be thankful! This can get done in just one week! Here’s how!
Make room for the Thanksgiving Tower!
This is 10 times more than your typical Thanksgiving dessert! With this tower, you will get to enjoy your favorite classic: pumpkin pie….along an unbelievable variety the best desserts ever created! Check out this video! You will get brownies, cheesecake, cake pops, bread pudding, macaroons and much more! Plus this is shareable for friends, families, co-workers and groups! It’s going to be hard to make room for dessert this year! Proceeds from this Compass Café Purchase will go to providing clean water and rescuing victims of human trafficking!
Come spent time with the Hope family! They will love you and make you feel welcome as soon as you step inside! Church is the perfect place to be thankful and express that gratitude to God. The one who gave us everything we have. After service, come enjoy HopeNYC’s Thanksgiving feast! There will be plenty of food and friends which makes it a great pre-celebration to the big day!
SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE!
Text a friend or get a fancy card from dollar tree wishing them a Happy Thanksgiving! Maybe a new friend you met on Big Sunday. It’s also fun to share your experience by taking photos of your thanksgiving tower and your day!
After this is all over, be on the lookout for HopeNYC’s Christmas Parade on Rockaway Blvd! This will be on Sunday December 3rd at 5pm! A great way to kick off your Christmas celebration!
HopeNYC is preparing to make this the best Christmas ever…for children overseas.
Build an Ark was the theme of HopeNYC’s 2017 Toy Drive! Hopers picked up a hammer and worked together to raise the funds to provide tons of toys (possibly an Ark-full)
I noticed the genuine cheerfulness in giving until the drive was over. Putting a smile on a child’s face has always been an important mission at HopeNYC. A child may be receiving their first toy this year. The toys will be off to the Caribbean this Christmas: Trinidad, Guyana, Jamaica, and Belize! High quality popular brand new toys. As someone would say “Toys you would buy for your own children.”
What makes this year even more exciting is that some of the Hopers will be going to the
countries to distribute these toys in person.
Special gifts were given to every participant of the Toy Drive so they won’t forget the time they got to Build An Ark.
HopeNYC has big plans for Christmas even in New York! Read my previous blog about the Christmas parade. Look out for info this upcoming month on www.HopeNYC.com or on the Facebook Page: http://www.Facebook.com/HopeNYC

Imagine having group of people you can connect, be real and go places with. This pretty much sums of the Lift Off Young Adult Ministry at HopeNYC Church! It’s an exclusive ministry for 20 somethings both single and married! This fun ministry meets once a month and it just celebrated its 2017 launch yesterday at Compass Café. At Lift Off, there’s fellowship, great food, new friends, hot topics, and outings! 20 somethings enjoy coffee in the winter then mocktails in the summer. It’s a great place for young adults to mingle and get connected. Yesterday we enjoyed sliders, wings, s’mores dip and coffee! We got to know each other through games, plan our next meeting and talk about good real things! There’s a ministry for every age group at HopeNYC!
HopeNYC had its annual Super Bowl party! We viewed the game on a super-sized screen fit for a football fan.
Not into the game? Just the wings, fellowship, cozy couches and great music by DJ Mark Xclusive made it SUPER! At half time things got spicy! There was a hot wing eating contest! These wings were drenched in ghost peppers, chili peppers, Habanero and much more heat! The snack shop had a tall menu of game day specials: wings, burgers, fries, hotdogs, nachos, chicken tenders, chips, candy and soda! I crave the wings around this time of year and got my fix with Asian and habanero and buffalo!
Spicy! Sweet! Savory! Satisfying!
These were prepared here at HopeNYC and I can say these are the best wings I’ve ever had. Everyone had a good time here. Football fans, wing lovers, children, commercial watchers….Overall everyone had the ultimate game day experience!
Who did I root for? Originally I cheered on the Falcons from the start but although they didn’t win, I went home with a valuable important lesson.
No matter how bad things may look from the start even if it takes as long as halftime, things can change and you can win!
Spiritually: No matter how bad things look and how short you come, God can change everything in an instant for you. Keep going!
Today, HopeNYC helped hundreds in Harlem by distributing boxes upon boxes of Thanksgiving foods, household items, & Avon Products. The major organizations that provided these items were Feed The Children & Avon. The boxes came in trucks. HopeNYC Church teamed with Harlem Fellowship Church & made a great difference to families the community. The people were blessed as they happily rolled their carts knowing it was Jesus. HopeNYC did not only give away the groceries but they helped carry it to the cars. The occasion was so immense that NY1 & other News reporters stopped by to interview. Another major help was NBA Knicks player Carmelo Anthony, who made his appearance & gave to families. This event took place in The Manhattan Center of Science & Mathematics High School. (I went to school here btw)
Harlem was indeed blessed & they all anticipate an Awesome Thanksgiving!
