Listen as Andre plays To God be The Glory on the saxophone. He played it during today’s service at HopeNYC. Let this song of worship uplift you as it brings the presence of God with His peace through your phone/computer speakers.
Have a listen, relax and enjoy 😊
They kick it up a notch after a minute! Keep on listening 👂
It all started with a volleyball circle on the sand. There was a setting sun, a ceaseless cool breeze, crashing waves, and a blue sky that swirled with purple, pink & vivid yellow streaks. It was a beautiful clear sunny day in New York but indeed a great evening for outdoor worship.
As golden hour approached, the 20 somethings including myself took a seat and prepared for some special set-aside time with The Lord. We spent minutes talking about Him and where He brought us out from but there was an important question to be answered!
If given the chance, what are some things you would tell your younger self ?
It’s a great question and an important one to ask yourself! Are any answers coming to mind?
On our beach blankets and chairs, Brian strummed the guitar and everyone started singing. Ice cream afterwards topped off this wonderful summer evening!
As you read about Family day you know:
Over the last few weeks, the teams met together to strategize! Creating flags, rehearsing a dance, planning a menu, shopping for gear, brainstorming… Serious preparations are being made for Family Day! Not to mention individuals exercising and training on their own time.
There are also boosters (mini games) during church services to win the team some advantages like a headstart in the go-cart race and a free soccer goal.
There has also been preliminaries for flag-football, volleyball, soccer and cricket during the last two Sundays.
There’s plenty to do before the big day! You are welcome to join us

Join us for a special church service at 10:30am and after we walk to the park at 1pm ⬇️
This blog discusses good news and fills you in on kingdom events I hear about.
Today, I think we can use some encouragement. Obviously, we have all been through a number of obstacles. The battle can feel ongoing, after taking multiple attempts to seek out solutions and wait for deliverance.
A dollop of depression, a drizzle of stress, shavings of bitter, and sprinkles of anxiety can really seem to top it all off. It’s unhealthy!
Instead, fill up with as much as The Lord as you can in any way. HEAR, SING, DANCE, READ, SPEAK, LEARN ABOUT and SEEK HIM!
It may seem tough to push through or figure out how it would all be okay but don’t leave it to chance. Embrace the one who adores you right now. Even if it doesn’t make sense, having anything to do with Jesus can bring you freedom and peace from the feelings in your mind as you continue to wait for your answer. No matter what, His love will chase you down.

Have you ever been proposed to or perhaps imagined how it would be? Would you prefer an intimate setting with the question popped in the middle of a romantic date or a bold public proposal in front of your friends and family?
I’m glad mines was public. One thing I sure won’t forget was the immense happiness that came from the Hope family! I remember the smiles along with the volume of the screams and cheers. Although it continued to rain heavy, this special moment still took place with all of us soaking wet. Remember my post on Family Day? Well this happened on that event when it was on THIS DAY in 2015 during the award ceremony. It was a great day for me. Before I claimed my prized possession 💍 I received some prizes. My team (Team hulk) was the winning team that took home the big trophy! Plus I won a medal 🏅 for volleyball.
Even though I am describing my day, I am also extending an invite to you to be part of Family day at HopeNYC. It’s on June 10th this year and there are games for everyone and all ages.
Today we are both very happy together in our marriage (Yes there was a Hope wedding too) But it couldn’t have all happened without this proposal. We also still have a loving supportive Hope family. I hope one day for you to visit and become part of this family.
Here’s a quick shot of my proposal in Baisely Pond Park during Family Day! Family day 2018 info here:

This music has both pumped up a large crowed and powerfully ministered. I attended every freedom concert held at HopeNYC and can share that these artists are truly some of the best in the Caribbean!
This concert is for EVERYBODY and all ages. Dance the night away with your family and celebrate the freedom of Independence Day a week early!
There will also be food and vendors with cool things to look at around the concert area!
The address, HopeNYC website, phone number and ticket info is all on the graphic above ⬆️ This is going to be an amazing outdoor concert and you are in for a good time!

A few from the 100s of pictures from the past years!
Hitting the road for a couple of hours, making a splash in the swimming pool after jumping in the jacuzzi, enjoying meals with good friends…
It sounds like an ideal Memorial Day outing!
I had this adventure last Saturday in PA with my fitness Hope Group! When you join a group at HopeNYC, you can except to learn and maybe take some notes depending on the class.
You would never expect to take a roadtrip to Pennsylvania just to see scenic views, visit the outlets, go to the resort with a pool and more! The rain didn’t even scare us! There was a 100% chance of rain in Pennsylvania but we didn’t cancel. It was the most farthest fun day I’ve ever had! When you are part of the Hope family or involved in a Hope group class, you never know what could happen and that’s what I love!
Here are some very simple patriotic treats ideas (Not recipes…don’t want to make you read much much longer! I also didn’t photograph these treats except for two of them! Just thought to share the most last minute and patriotic treats possible to help make your memorial, labor or Independence Day a-little bit more delicious!
Chocolate dipped Oreos!
This is one that I have done before! What you will need is:
Patriotic apples! Dazzle your guests and feed them the healthiest dessert on your menu!
Just buy & roll them in sprinkles!
This aren’t patriotic but many of you will be starting a fire or firing up the oven today! These are photos of some indoor oven s’mores!
Chocolate dipped and sprinkled cones!

Does anyone own a scale with never-changing numbers? Numbers that would just remain the same no matter how hard you try….
Today, I stepped on the scale and those numbers changed! Praise God!
I took time this year to focus on health and research about the body, nutrition, fitness, stress, medicine, vitamins and more! I am also enrolled in two health Hope Groups are this spring semester. These group are very effective and available to you if you can find your way to HopeNYC. One group is taught by an actual physician and the other is taught by a phenomenal woman who has conquered the most challenging weight-loss obstacles. I can share some of what I learned and I hope it can help!
One shot is all you need: Cardio doesn’t have to be long and painful. It should be short and painful 😀 which is better! Cardio is suppose to prepare your body for the exercise, not be the exercise. Running and walking is great but it can’t sculpt the abs for you. Cardio helps your body to burn while you deal with the real exercises: abs workouts, weight lifting, leg sculpting, squats etc. Developing those muscles can help shrink those areas but you need a shot to start!
The recipe for this shot calls for:
It’s short! But it’s all you need.
Abs don’t just lookgood: Developing abs can save your back! The abs are like the strong front anchor of your spine. When you work on your abs, you help your back muscles tremendously. Back pain gets reduced because your core is helping your back muscles in supporting you. It’s not too late to start your ab workout. The plank is one of the most effective I heard from the doctor.
Your action will influence others around you! You can tell your loved ones to exercise and it will turn them away. Cook tasty healthy meals and desserts, take your walks, eat healthy in a restaurant and photograph everything. Your actions will surely influence someone to try it!
Has carbs lied to you? We think it will fill us up when eating it all the time can make us hungry. Protein keeps you full for much longer. See which protein-filled foods are your favorites. Reducing carbs will surely give you results.
Motivation is a must! Meeting up as a class each week really helped. Having someone to motivate you is important. Circumstances and problems can stop your progress! Make sure you have a friend, counselor, nutritionist, family member or someone to help motivate you and hear your problems out! Youtube videos can help. Prayer can help tremendously! I believe you can do it.
