It’s a glorious Sunday summer afternoon. You’ve just had a really successful event. Your people showed up and had a great time. Your core cooked up the most scrumptious of dishes. The decor was dazzling and there were some really exciting spontaneous activities that the words in your conversation couldn’t describe.
The event is over and there’s nothing left. Sometimes short social media statuses, selfies & slightly blurred phone pics are all that’s left. Nothing to really convince the rest of the group that they’ve missed it! Nothing that says that your last event was amazing and the next one is worth coming to.
Hope Leaders! I introduce to you MINISTRY BLOGGING! One of the Hope Groups happening this upcoming Fall semester at HopeNYC! This blogging group will be focused on blogging for your ministry! You may be saying ” I got too much on my plate” “I’m A BIT busy planning the next event!” Don’t fret! Find a person in your group that is right for the job! Not to mention someone alittle tech savvy and ready to start posting and SOON! 😀 The group will also cover some brief photography skills. Yes! Even a phone picture needs to have some thought put into it 📱 Are you less of a writer and more of vlogger? (Video Blogging) We will cover that too! This group is a helpful way to promote growth in your ministry WITH PRAYER OF COURSE! Also this could be a special way to capture your event and have a well-written article with photos left for you and your group to remember! I remember sitting down hearing that yesterday at HopeNYC’s Father’s Day service and I agree! But I must mention that they learned from the best 👆🏽 In fact all of us do! At HopeNYC, your problem is our problem and your victories and achievements is our celebration! Over the years of attending, I see that the men of God here look out for their church family. Always aiming to encourage, give, teach and intercede in prayer for other sons and daughters. Yesterday, many celebrated their fathers, relatives and father figures and highly exalted their Heavenly Father. The one responsible for all good fathers. There were gifts, testimonies, dances, and more! It was such a good time! Many Hope Kidz spoke out in a video how they felt about their dads. WARNING ⚠️ some are cute and some are funny!
The oatmeal cream pie tonight was delish & FREE! It was crunchy creamy & compact! Not to mention the rich great-tasting center that’s totally Jodi Bakes! I wish I can have it for breakfast tomorrow morning! After today’s life-changing Hope-Day service, it certainly made the perfect after-service snack!

What are you doing next week? One of the most significant days to ever happen just to honor The Savior Jesus, The Word at beginning and one who sacrificed His Life to save the world 🌎 If there are no plans, I encourage you visit HopeNYC for an amazing Good Friday service: NEXT WEEK April 14th 6pm. Visit the HopeNYC website for information, directions, weekly services and additional upcoming events.
This Good Friday service will have an amazing Word for you. There’s worship in music, the holy communion, gifts for first time guests and washing of the saints feet (amazing yet optional) The opportunity to do what Jesus did when He washed the foot of His disciple. Just look around, pick someone in the room or a friend. Towels and buckets will be provided.
Bright and early on Saturday morning! It’s time to have fun at HopeNYC’s 9th annual Easter egg hunt! Everyone’s invited to spend a sunny morning with us at Baisely park while kids ages 1-9 explore with their easter baskets hunting around 10,000 colored candy-filled eggs. Finding a gold or silver egg gives them an amazing opportunity to win a bicycle or scooter along with some other fantastic prizes. Going home with dozens of eggs filled with candy is good enough for me 😀 The best part is, Admission is free!
The Priest, Pilate’s wife, and Peter! What went on in their minds after witnessing the most horrific mind-blowing scene in all humanity. Come see their view of the situation in a production where the story begins right at the start of service at 8am. Too early for you? Catch the 11am service! This broadway style yet Holy Spirit annointed production is filled with a life-changing message, dance, and an atmosphere that will take you back to the past where it all happened. If you are in New York make your way to Rockaway blvd for an exciting Easter service.
HopeNYC took over one of the AMC auditoriums & had a screening for the movie: Risen. The theater was blessed with long snack lines, hopers that supported the movie & new guests! Each brand new guest got to view the movie for free along with the person who brought them and they received a goodie bag with a big cookie, a HopeNYC Easter Service/ Good Friday/Egg hunt invite cards & colorful marshmallows. All of us enjoyed the comfy reclining seats the theater offered and the free slushy refill! At the end of the movie we prayed together. It was an amazing movie with a story told from a non believer/Roman’s point of view. This whole experience was not only so much fun it was evangelism. This is the best church in New York showing the love of Jesus.
It was such a fun day filled with ballons, giveaways, opportunities and more! It was set up EXPO STYLE! All of the ministries prepared a table where people can learn about it & get connected by simply signing up! We have all kinds of ministries! There’s a social media ministry, photography ministry, kids, tweens, teens, young adults, women and men’s ministry and so much more! Theres also a church van ministry, dance ministry, an event planning ministry, evangelism, intercessors, scholarships ministry, music ministry, local and abroad missions, Hope Ambassadors, media, administration, cleaning ministry and more! There was also a table for Growth Groups because they will be starting back soon! From chocolates, to pens, to necklaces, raffle tickets, fruit punch! There was alot of free stuff going around. HopeNYC is a very exciting church! It is also on the move to help this city and work for God’s kingdom. Working for God is the best! We are the hands and feet of Jesus but God is The Face!
Was there ever a time in your life where you just needed help?
In 2014, a brilliant ministry was birthed just to help! Help with what? Your needs if you just let them know!
The ministry just had their Christmas party last night and it was such a fun time in fellowship. They served food, raffled prizes, shared it’s 2015 acccomplishments, had an awesome dancer, special word of encouragement and much more! This end of the year party made me more aware of it’s splendid accomplishments in helping others! The Helps ministry is tremendous! They have been known to help provide food to families (especially widows) in New York! During the 2015 Christmas season, families were blessed with a box of help filled with food and cleaning supplies of every description! Plus the boxes were delivered to the familes! The Helps ministry has made life quite easier for Hope members. They have given out fruits, vegetables and bread randomly after many services this year. They have helped provided a way home for people when they did not have a metrocard or cab fare. The ministry has also provided and treated many ladies this year with a gift certificate to have their hair done by one of the best hairstylist in Queens. This ministry has been a great blessing to many and it’s only getting started! It is the best feeling in the world to get help when you need it.
This ministry is only for Singled Young Adults between the ages of 20-29 years old! (Singled as in not married) It’s an exclusive ministry, many times younger kids & older adults try to invade but we kick them out 🙂 We meet every month & talk about what matters! We have Hot Topics, A cozy atmosphere, mocktails, great food, desserts, games, great conversation, worship, & always a fun time in fellowship together. For more info on the ministry check out Lift Off’s First Post!
The blog is written by dedicated believers & Lift Off leaders who genuiely love serving The Lord Jesus Christ! ( I help write some of these too)
Mother’s Day came back around & HopeNYC was ready.
Our mission: To make sure no mother beneath the HopeNYC roof leave the premises unchanged, under-appeciated and empty-handed. There is only one person who’s up for the challenge and that’s Jesus!
At Hope we say something very special:
We are the hands & feet but God is the face. In fact, that is a very famous hashtag we hopers use so often; #GodIsTheFace
Every mom that walked through the door recieved a jumbo chocolate heart on a stick and beautiful button that says I’m a Hope Mom. They were also treated to a big breakfast. The children’s ministry had a beautiful dance prepared.
The teenagers performed a skit where one brave christian girl in school stands up to her peers & proudly states that her mother is her best friend. She leads by example & encourages her friends to celebrate mother’s day with their mothers. Not the boyfriend, not the gang of kids at the pizza shop, not with the Xbox and not at the nail salon. They go to church and their moms feel loved because of the atmosphere Jesus created for them. The breakfast, the spoken word the “pretend church service”… This girl brought the families together.
Our fabulous Men’s Chior!
Dance by our Haitian brother Steven ( I can’t do these moves)

An update on HopeNYC
HopeNYC, How has it been? These past couple of weeks has been so far some of the most amazing ever! Just being filled up with the word on Wenesdays. Being full of fire & enery with the teens on Friday. Seeing the colors of dancers & the finely dressed people worshipping on a Sunday. I am just so glad to be apart of this church & know the friends I met there. Sometimes living life isn’t easy …. even being a christian & striving to follow our perfect Lord & savior gets real challeging at times too but going to HopeNYC to grow, worship, learn, pray, work, praise, testify love, fellowship… It really lightens the LOAD & helps me more to trust God to remove it, break me through it & make it all better. Many have testified that they have needed hope & they found it at HopeNYC. If any of you bloggers get to visit New York City, I urge you to visit at least one services. I visited the Famous Statue of Liberty, Toys R us & been to Time Square so many times but they all can’t compare to ONE visit at HopeNYC Church. You won’t be a stranger at all because you will surely feel at home.
